Love Honor Cherish was formed in May 2008 and is dedicated solely to the repeal of Prop 8 at the next general election in November 2012. We raised $500,000 for the No on 8 campaign and also mounted our own outreach and media efforts, with a strong focus on speaking the truth about marriage and developing a new generation of leadership on this issue. Love Honor Cherish trains speakers to go out into the community and speak with groups about the fundamental importance of marriage equality for same-sex couples. We can also coach you, your friends and your family on the best way to address the issues and concerns of those with whom you speak.

Our Committees
Love Honor Cherish organizes its projects under four committees: Outreach, Fundraising, Ballot Initiative and Media. Each of these has a chairperson. To get involved in a specific committee, come to our weekly meeting.
Outreach
- Train and book speakers
- Liaison with other groups and communities
- Write letters to the editor
- Write press releases and develop media contacts
- Organize political actions
Fundraising
- Organize fundraising events
- Create mechanisms for donations online and off
- Set up house parties to educate and raise money
Ballot Initiative
- Gather signatures for ballot initiative
- Organize and train signature gatherers
Media & Technology
- Develop printed materials (posters, signage, etc.)
- Maintain online presence (website, Facebook, etc)
- Produce videos on marriage equality and ballot initiative campaign
